‘Sleep’

This piece remains on of my personal favourites. Drawn very close to the creation of ‘Old Man Jaffna’ we see a deep, absorbing space around the focal image of a girl sleeping.

Inspired by the work of Anish Kapoor, Mark Rothko and family friend and artist, Kwai Lau, who’s uses of pigments to create layers upon layers colours and tones to absorb the viewer in to their work has always been a source of inspiration for me.
